- The wind rose's dampening system allows fast and extremely accurate readings to within 0.5 degrees.
- The photoluminescent background light provides battery-free illumination (10 minutes of luminescence after 10 to 15 seconds of illumination).
- The protective rubber collar with neck/wrist strap ensures safe use in harsh environments.
- The red neoprene rubber strap keeps the compass suspended if it falls overboard.
- The unique optical system combined with a powerful calibration process virtually eliminates parallax errors
