Rule Type Cras
A two-coloured red and black cras ruler with a special design that makes it easier to read than other cras rulers.
Characteristics of the Cras Type Rule
The Rule Type Cras is a two-tone red and black cras ruler with a special design that makes it easier to read than other cras rulers. Our instructors have designed this specific notched ruler several years ago with an offset of the graduations on the overlap area of the two protractors. This makes it more practical and easier to read, especially for nautical and maritime training and the preparation of the offshore licence.
The Type Cras rule is made up of a black protractor with staggered graduations to easily measure and trace routes and bearings from 0° to 180° and a red protractor for those from 180° to 360°. The principle of use is simple, on a meridian or a parallel, it is necessary to align the center of the protractor the most "southern" on the map with the angle of the road to trace or measure.
The Type Cras rule also has two distance scales: a nautical mile scale for 1:50,000 charts (such as the SHOM chart 9999 for the offshore licence) and a universal scale in centimetres.
All our Cras rulers are manufactured on a crystal clear PVC support marked with a process that makes the ruler's graduations and markings unalterable.
The product includes a instructions for use and access to online tutorials on PickseaVideo or in the footer of this site.
The Flash-Tide navigation rulers are designed and manufactured in France by Picksea.
