Detailed features
New Breton Reporter
The New Breton Reporter retains all the features that have made it so successful over the past 40 years, but it has been completely redesigned by Nautic Training instructors to improve its readability and usability.
Features of the New Breton Reporter
The Rapporteur Breton was designed in the 60's by Yvonnick Gueret based on US civil aviation models. In 2018, Nautic Training instructors have redesigned this navigation ruler to retain all the functions that have made it so successful over the past 40 years and to improve its readability and usability.
The New Breton Reporter is a instrument simple and intuitive to use, whether it is to plot a bearing taken with a compass on the map or to measure a route or a heading.
The New Breton Reporter consists of a ruler and a 360° wind rose moving in its center. On the compass rose there is a grid that will have to be aligned with a meridian or parallel in order to read the route traced.
The New Breton Reporter also has two distance scales: a nautical mile scale for 1:50,000 charts (such as the SHOM chart 9999 for the offshore licence) and a universal scale in centimetres.
The navigator will also find reminders for route and heading calculations.
All our rulers and protractors are manufactured on a crystal clear PVC base with a process that makes the ruler's graduations and markings unalterable.
The product includes a instructions for use and access to online tutorials on PickseaVideo.
The New Breton Reporter of the Flash-Tide brand is designed and manufactured in France by Picksea.
