The Globe 5000 halyard from FSE ROBLINE 5m

It is mainly intended for use where minimum stretch and low weight are required. Its core is made of Dyneema SK78, it is covered by polyester 32. This allows the halyard to have an excellent cohesion between its sheath and its core so they will not slip between them. This rope can also be used unsheathed. It measures 5 meters.

The conventional technical limits of splitting with hollow needles are beginning to be reached, especially with Dyneema ropes under 4mm diameter, as these can become a real challenge to split for splicing.

The handle of the D-splicer is made of anodized aluminum, this type of aluminum is reinforced by a surface treatment which confers a corrosion resistance to him, as for its needle it is out of stainless steel to resist the wet and salty environment.

The D-Splicer is suitable for the finest ropes (less than 4mm) and in other situations where conventional needles would not work.

Detailed features of the D-splicer kit

 •
Dyneema to hang everything on board.

Short braided, pre-stretched and smeared for a excellent abrasion resistance and over time. Made of Dyneema® SK78, it is the ideal braid for lashings or braiding and all applications subject to abrasion.

The no braiding short means that the spindles have a smaller surface area on the outside, protecting each other. This tight braiding technique results in a elongation significantly higher, but guarantees a high level of resistance abrasion and small bending radii. Dyneema braid will be more durable and will better respond to applications such as transfilage, lashing, braiding or for making textile shackles.

L’ensimage is a treatment that extends the life of the Dyneema braid by making it more resistant to UV rays and abrasion.

We recommend the tightly braided Dyneema SK78 for the tensioning systems of your textile lines, for connecting your headsail sheets or halyards to your sails and wherever there is a risk of abrasion.

Characteristics of the Dyneema SK78 tightly braided rope
