Detailed features

All the possibilities of the Cras rule and the Rappporteur Breton

The Antares protractor ruler is both a tricolour Cras ruler AND a Breton protractor. It can be easily adapted to any skipper or sailor, whatever his or her initial training or practice habits.

Features of the Antares rule

The Cras reporter rule / Breton Antares is both a Tricolour rule and a Breton rapporteur. It is therefore suitable for every practitioner, whatever their initial training or habits. This protractor model is very popular with those looking for a "2 in 1" ruler

Whether you are plotting a bearing (measured with a compass) or measuring a course on the chart, the Cras reporter rule / Breton Antares is a navigational instrument practical and easy for all crew members during coastal or offshore sailing.

The "Breton" of the navigation rapporteur consists of a ruler and a 360° wind rose moving in its center. On the compass rose there is a grid that will have to be aligned with a meridian or parallel in order to read the route traced.

The "Cras" of the rule Antares is made up of a green protractor for measuring and plotting routes and bearings from 0° to 180° and a red protractor for those from 180° to 360°. The principle of use is simple, on a meridian or a parallel, it is necessary to align the center of the protractor the most "southern" on the map with the angle of the road to be traced or measured.

The Cras / Breton Antares reporting rule also has two scales: a distance scale in nautical miles for 1:50,000 charts (like the SHOM chart 9999 for the offshore licence) and a universal scale in centimetres.

All our Cras and Breton rulers are manufactured on a crystal clear PVC support marked with a process that makes the ruler's graduations and markings unalterable.

The product includes a instructions for use paper. Access to online tutorials the Picksea TV channel will allow you to master the use of your Antares ruler.

The Antares navigation rulers from Flash-Tide are designed and manufactured in France by Picksea.
