Marine Legendre, Crossing the Atlantic solo under sail
Passionate about sailing since she was very young, Marine is a young woman of 31, full of enthusiasm and determination. Two years ago, the young skipper set herself quite a challenge: to cross the Atlantic single-handed on a tiny 6.50-metre boat by taking part in the Mini-Transat 2021. The young sportswoman will be competing aboard the famous Pile Poil, the "902", which finished 3rd overall in the same race in 2019 and second in 2017, skippered by a certain Clarisse Crémer... 12th overall in the last Vendée Globe. A challenge that has required two years of preparation, training and sacrifices from Marine in order to be ready for the start of the race scheduled for the end of September 2021.
Experienced and seasoned sailor, Picksea is happy to be at Marine's side in this great adventure!

Mathieu Carpier, the call of the open sea
Mathieu, originally from Brest, started sailing as a child. He lost the use of his arm in a road accident and discovered the Mini Ji, a small, high-performance 3.65m regatta boat that can be adapted to each person's disability. After a year of practice, Mathieu decided to take a liking to competition and regatta. The call of the open sea and the taste for competition quickly appeared. At present, the skipper has built up a nice list of achievements with the title of French vice-champion in 2011, French champion in 2013 and bronze medalist in 2014
It is Mathieu's courage and determination that have led Picksea to accompany him for more than 7 years now in order to participate in more regattas and thus progress on a boat adapted to his disability.
David Alonso and Tomas Cunat Salisbury, a duo that shines
Accompanied since 2019 by our team, David and Tomas have shone for their return to ocean racing. Deprived of the Transquadra in 2020, the duo is preparing to take the start of the 10th edition on August 13th Winners of La cap 45/11, a new offshore raceDue to the health situation, many offshore races have seen their start postponed to 2022. Thus, the organizers of the CAP-Martinique and the Grand Prix de Gascogne 45/5 have made common cause to organize a new race on June 3, 2021 starting from La Rochelle, the CAP 45/11. The race course is approximately 750 miles long, innovative, as the competitors will have to pass once the 45°N latitude and once the 11°W longitude, in the order they want, before coming back to La Trinité-sur-Mer, cradle of the Cap-Martinique The duo caused a sensation on the first edition of this unprecedented race by winning. It allowed the duo to do a "warm-up tour" before the Transquadra departure in a few weeks. |
