Fire fighting
Fire is one of the major risks on board, especially on pleasure boats, as flames can spread very quickly. See for example this video on the Picksea You Tube channel. It is therefore particularly important to be vigilant about your firefighting equipment. To know the fire extinguishers and equipment to have on board, it is necessary to consult the "Owner's Manual" of the boat which indicates the types of materials to have and especially the places where they must be positioned on board. If this manual is no longer available, you should refer toAnnex 240-A3 of Division 240, which gives precise and complete information on the equipment and use of fire-fighting equipment on board.
